Nitrex Metal Inc. has entered into a new license agreement with Carolina Commercial Heat Treating Inc. (CCHT), a leading commercial heat treater in the SouthEastern USA, to incorporate Nitreg® nitriding into CCHT's range of quality compliant heat treating services in Reidsville, NC.

Although Nitrex operates its own network of heat treating centers in North America, CCHT, a division of Gibraltar Steel, the second largest heat-treating organization in the US with 15 plants in the Southeast and Midwest, has become the first independent commercial heat treating company in the USA to offer Nitreg® nitriding services.

The partnership is expected to open new market avenues in the South-Eastern USA and will expand the application potential of Nitreg® nitriding technologies.

The system, model NX-1225, has the capacity to accommodate loads of up to 47’’ diameter x 98’’ high (1200mm x 2500mm). At the heart of the system is a comprehensive software package for running a range of Nitreg® nitriding cycles including Nitreg®-C controlled ferritic nitrocarburizing and Nitreg®-ONC® post-oxidation processes. Bettcher Amherst Promotes Scott Rieg to Project Manager;Cleveland Metal Stamper Appoints Sales Engineer to New Sales Position

Brook Park, Ohio July 26, 2004 -- Bettcher Amherst Metal Stamping, a leading manufacturer of precision metal stampings, recently announced the promotion of Scott Rieg to Project Manager.

“Scott Rieg’s extensive experience and knowledge of the metal stamping process makes him a strong asset for our company,” said Jerry Lynch, President of Bettcher Amherst Metal Stamping. “We are confident that in his new role he will apply his talents to help provide innovative solutions to our customers.”

Rieg will be responsible for additional sales functions including responsibility for managing Bettcher’s largest account and involved in wider aspects of business development, account management and sales administration.

In the seven years he has been with Bettcher, Rieg has served in various positions of increasing levels of responsibility in the sales area, most recently as Account Manager. Prior to that he served as Sales Engineer and Tooling Engineer.

Rieg helped develop the equipment and tooling plans as well as implement the set up for Bettcher Amherst Metal Stamping facility in Reynosa, Mexico. Rieg started his career as a tool and die maker at a tool and die company in Cleveland, following a four-year state accredited training program where he performed his apprenticeship. He received the State of Ohio Journeyman’s Certification.

Rieg lives in Rocky River with his wife, Kathryn and daughter, Kathryn. He is active in the Precision Metalforming Association and participates on a metal engineering committee. In his free time, he enjoys golf, woodworking and a variety of activities with his family.
